  Yamunotri Gangotri Ex-Delhi/ Ex-Haridwar 2024

6 days/7 nights in Duration.

Geographical coordinates in India: Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand Located on the westernmost peak of Bandar Poonch Parvat inside the Garhwal Himalayas lies the holy temple of Yamunotri, the river Yamuna's source. Yamunotri is most famous for its shrine to Yamuna and the nearby Jankichatti hot springs (7 km. Away). About a quarter of the way up the Kalind Mountain, at an elevation of 4421 m above mean sea level, is the true origin of the frozen lake of ice and glacier known as Champasar Glacier, also known as the Yamunotri Glacier.

The hilltop, which is 1 km away but inaccessible to most people, is where the shrine was built. Since getting it is so difficult, worshippers usually do pooja within the temple. The marble god is dark in colour. The Hindus consider the Yamuna, like the Ganga, a holy mother who is responsible for the growth and development of Indian culture.
Uttarakhand is home to Gangotri, which is located at an impressive elevation of 3,048 metres above sea level. Gangotri, one of the Char Dhams of Uttarakhand, may be found on the banks of the sacred Bhagirathi River. When winter approaches, the water level in Gangotri drops, revealing a natural stone Shivling that had previously been hidden under the surface. Legend has it that Lord Shiva sat here as he cradled Ganga with his matted hair. To worship at the holiest and most revered shrine dedicated to the Goddess Ganga, go to the holy mountain of Gangotri. Amar Singh Thapa, a Gorkha general, constructed the current Gangotri Temple in the 18th century. The Gaumukh glacier, where the Bhagirathi River begins, is located 18 kilometres (km) from Gangotri.

Char Dham of Uttarakhand

The Yamuna Ji Temple in Yamunotri is the holiest site in all of India. Some scorching hot springs emerge from the mountain cracks close to this temple. The primary pool is called Surya Kund. A little amount of brown rice wrapped in a piece of cloth and dipped into the liquid will be fully cooked after being removed from the liquid a few minutes later. Prasad is something that is brought home with you. Before doing puja for Yamunaji, devotees pay respect to a shila called the Divya Shila, which is located near the Surya Kund.

Gangotri is home to the Bhagirathi Temple. Shri Ganga Ji, Shri Yamuna Ji, Shri Lakshmi Ji, Shri Saraswati Ji, Shri Parwati Ji, and Shri Annapurna Ji are all honoured here with sculptures. In addition, there is a substantial deodar woods nearby. In the lower plains, the Bhagirathi (Ganga) flows deep and quiet, but in Gangotri, it is churning and gurgling and frothing as well as singing an ecstatic air, and the Ganga temple is located on its right bank.
